Putnam Hospital , part of the Nuvance Health system, is an award-winning 164-bed non-profit acute care hospital offering quality inpatient and outpatient medical, surgical, pediatric, psychiatric and OB / GYN care as well as 24 / 7 emergency services. The facility sees about 450 annual deliveries and 620 annual triage visits.

Carmel ( sometimes referred to as Carmel Hamlet) is a town located in Putnam County, New York, about 50 miles north of New York City and 10 miles west of Danbury, Connecticut.
