About the Role
The Company is in need of a seasoned General Counsel with a focus on contracts and HR. The successful candidate will be responsible for a wide range of legal matters, including but not limited to, reviewing and negotiating commercial contracts, developing and maintaining standard terms and conditions, overseeing corporate governance, and ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations. This role requires a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of corporate law, contract negotiation, and direct experience in HR activities. The General Counsel will also be involved in risk management, corporate compliance reporting, and managing all legal and employment issues related to the company's operations. Applicants for the General Counsel position at the company should hold a Juris Doctor or Master of Laws degree and have a minimum of 8 years of legal experience, with a preference for those who have at least 3 years in corporate law. The role demands a professional with strong business acumen, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to make sound legal decisions under pressure. Responsibilities also include managing litigation, overseeing audit results, and being involved in a variety of special projects. The ideal candidate will have a background in a manufacturing and distribution environment and be adept at aligning legal strategies with business goals.
