This position is responsible for reviewing title commitments and identifying any and all issues which will prevent insurable title. The Title Curative Specialist also clears any and all defects in title.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Review title commitments and identify issues.

Due diligence and fact finding with client prior services and / or foreclosure attorney as needed.

Obtain various documents from client escrow / title and / or foreclosure attorney.

Communicate with any and all parties necessary to clear defect in title.

Job Specifications

Qualifications

Strong knowledge of title issues and problem resolution of these issues.

Read and understand real estate contracts / purchase agreements.

Read and understand all closing / lender documents including HUD 1 settlement statements and deeds.

Ability to negotiate reduction in fees as needed.

Proficiency in Outlook Excel and Word.

Strong communication skills.

High ethical standards.

Motivated positive team player.

Excellent verbal written and interpersonal skills.

Ability to problem solve in a growing and expanding business.

Education and Experience

Required : HS Diploma / GED

Preferred : Associate / Technical Degree

Experience : 3-5 years
