Planning Coordination and Strategy Advisor

This role coordinates key activities across System Planning including coordinating the Long Range Transmission Planning (LRTP) development supporting long-term technology evolution and technical support for reliability economic interregional and policy planning. The advisor ensures compliance with planning processes while driving strategic initiatives that strengthen reliability and advance long-term business goals.

How youll make an impact :

• Lead annual MTEP report development stakeholder review and support for the MISO Board approval.
• Support System Planning staff on regional and interregional planning efforts including LRTP.
• Compile analyze and present status reports to management.
• Prepare reports for transmission owners stakeholder committees regulators (state FERC NERC) and other partners on long-term transmission planning value.
• Contribute to divisional budgets and forecasts aligned with strategic objectives.
• Improve processes by proposing and implementing innovative timely solutions.
• Apply sound independent judgment to make recommendations and solve problems.
• Exercise professional discretion and independent judgment in day-to-day work.

The base salary compensation range being offered for this role is $125000-$145000 USD annually. Base salary range for this position is included in accordance with requirements of various state / local pay transparency legislation. Please note that salaries may vary for different individuals in the same role based on several factors including but not limited to location of the role individual competencies education / professional certifications and qualifications / experience.
