Luminator is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our team. The CNC Machinist will be responsible for managing production rates and quality, ensuring all products meet the highest standards of our company's product line.
What You'll Do : \n
- Operate CNC machines and perform routine maintenance on equipment.
\n
Maintain acceptable reject and production rates.\n
Verify part compliance using calipers and micrometers.\n
Read blueprints, sketches, and specifications to determine required materials and dimensions.\n
Select and set up appropriate machines (e.g., lathes), position and load materials, and handle fixtures, jaws, chucks, spindles, collets, pads, and bar feeder inputs.\n
Plan the sequence of steps for assignments, including programming input or corrections.\n
Determine and program batch sizes and machine speeds.\n

\n Technical proficiency with CNC machines : Ability to operate, set up, and troubleshoot various CNC equipment including mills, lathes, and grinders.\n
\n Blueprint and technical drawing interpretation : Skilled in reading and understanding engineering drawings, schematics, and specifications to produce accurate parts.\n
\n Software knowledge : Competence in programming CNC machines using G-Code or using CAM software for tool path generation\n
\n Precision measurement and inspection : Familiarity with calipers, micrometers, gauges, and CMMs to ensure components meet tight tolerances.\n
Material knowledge : Understanding of various metals, plastics, and other materials, including how they respond to machining, cutting speeds, and feeds.\n
Problem-solving and troubleshooting : Ability to identify and resolve machining errors, tooling issues, or programming mistakes.\n \n

Requirements :
Minimum 2 years of experience on a CNC lathe / mill required.\n
Education : \n
High school diploma / GED required.\n
Technical school degree or certificate highly preferred.\n \n
Computer Skills : \n
Proficiency in CNC machine programming (G-code, M-code).\n
Experience with CAD / CAM software (such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Mastercam, or Autodesk Fusion).\n
Ability to operate CNC machine digital interfaces, set parameters, and input production data.\n
Basic computer literacy for file management, data entry, and use of standard office software (e.g., Outlook, Excel).\n
Ability to use digital measurement tools and quality control software.\n \n
