Modern Technology Solutions, Inc. (MTSI) is seeking a driven and detail-oriented Acquisition Analyst to join our exceptional team in Huntsville, AL. This role is critical in supporting acquisition and contracting activities for Program Executive Office, Aviation (PEO AVN) and related defense initiatives. The ideal candidate will leverage their expertise in contract management, Federal Acquisition Regulations, and defense acquisition processes to ensure program success while navigating a rapidly paced and collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintains a thorough understanding of contract terms and conditions. Interface with internal and external personnel regarding contracts management.
• Assists in preparing contract modifications and reviews proposed contract actions and aids contracting officers and managers with regards to policies, regulations, laws and good business practices.
• Provides recommendations to senior staff regarding contract issues and alternative acquisition strategies.
• Prepares contract requirement packages (CRP); to include preparation and assistance with the development of the Statements of Work, Justification and Approvals, Contract Data Requirement Lists, and other pertinent documents required for the CRP.
• Evaluates and assesses business, technical, logistics, and operational concepts, reports and plans to ensure compliance and cohesiveness with Program Executive Office, Aviation (PEO AVN) and project management office requirements.
• Prepare programmatic and technical documentation such as letters of agreement, Memorandums of Understanding (MOU), Memorandums of Agreement (MOA), contract requirements documentation, etc.
• Monitors contract administration and conducts necessary coordination which may result in incremental funding, preparation of rate and cost adjustments, redirection of effort, coordination of time extensions, incorporation of change orders, issuance of stop work orders, issuance of cure notices or show cause letters, approval of progress payments, final payment, and contract closeout.
• Assists the customer with requirements analysis, implementation, and compliance with directives and procedures.
