Key Responsibilities

  • Support recruitment, application processing, and onboarding of students and mentors.
  • Coordinate program calendars, event logistics, and communications with participants.
  • Assist with scheduling and managing workshops, seminars, and field experiences.
  • Track attendance, maintain program records, and support stipend and evaluation processes.
  • Assist with internal and external communications, including program materials, university webpage, and outreach materials.
  • Support preparation and execution of annual events, including PitchFest, symposiums, and student conference participation.
  • Travel to local and national conferences to support student presentations and represent the program.
  • Work closely with faculty, staff, and external partners to ensure program goals are met.
  • Provide basic administrative support (e.g., email management, printing, calendar coordination).
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Other Duties and Responsibilities :

  • Perform other related duties as assigned by the Program Director.
  • Qualifications / Requirements :

    EDUCATION :

    Regionally accredited (BA / BS and / or MA / MS) degree required; and / or equivalent of combined education and experience in the related field.

    EXPERIENCE :

  • One to three years in a related field of outreach management
  • Familiarity with university programming
  • The successful applicant will show evidence of experience in program coordination
  • KNOWLEDGE / ABILITY / SKILLS :

  • Demonstrated commitment to service in underserved communities.
  • Commitment to student learning outcomes and evidence-based teaching practices.
  • Commitment to and support of the CDU and the DHLS missions.
  • Ability to work with a diverse group of students.
  • A demonstrated sensitivity to students with diverse academic, socio-economic, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds and students with disabilities.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong computer software skills.
  • Ability to establish and maintain a collegial working relationship with faculty and students.
  • Demonstrated willingness to perform and a commitment to extra-curricular responsibilities on behalf of the program, college, and University.
  • Compensation :

  • 24.13 - $30.77
  • Position Status :

  • Conditional Employment :

    The employment status of this position is classified as “Conditional.” Conditional employment means that the job exists contingent upon continued funding and limitations of restricted funds or, the duration of a specific program, project, grant, or contract. Since your salary is funded by CZI BSEP and 4 / 30 / 2027 , your position is contingent upon the continued receipt of these funds. Continuation of your position is dependent, in part, upon funding availability. Furthermore, no work may be performed after the grant end date(s) unless you have received an extension in writing from a Dean, Division VP, or Human Resources.

  • The ability to perform highly detailed work with sustained attention and care while providing / obtaining information on numerous inquiries is paramount to success in this position.
