Electrical Design Engineer

This position is hybrid in Plano, TX - You will be required to be onsite five days a week for a ramp up period in the beginning (1-3 months depending on your experience), but after that, we are flexible with which 1-2 days you want to work from home!

Position Overview

We are a leading MEP firm seeking a skilled Electrical Design Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing electrical systems for various projects, ensuring compliance with all applicable standards and regulations. This role involves collaboration with other engineering disciplines to deliver high-quality solutions that meet client needs. We work in a variety of industries but the bulk of our work is municipal and medical.

Key Responsibilities

• Design electrical systems for new and existing buildings and facilities.
• Utilize AutoCAD and Revit for creating detailed design drawings and specifications.
• Conduct load calculations and system analysis to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
• Collaborate with architects, structural engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate electrical designs.
• Review and approve shop drawings and submittals from contractors.
• Provide technical support during the construction phase and conduct site inspections as necessary.
• Stay updated on industry standards, codes, and best practices in electrical design.
