ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a hands-on Project Engineer to join our clients growing team. This individual will be responsible for both front-end quoting / design of new products and back-end manufacturing engineering efforts focused on improving processes, reducing costs, and driving efficiency. The ideal candidate combines strong mechanical design capabilities with a practical understanding of manufacturing operations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Support quoting efforts for new and custom products analyzing customer requirements, estimating costs, and developing detailed proposals

Support product design and development efforts from concept through production launch, including CAD modeling, prototyping, and design reviews

Collaborate closely with production teams to identify opportunities for process improvements, cost reductions, and yield enhancements

Participate in cross-functional teams to support lean manufacturing, quality initiatives, and equipment upgrades

Interface with suppliers to source components and materials as needed for new product introductions or improvement projects

Ensure designs are manufacturable, cost-effective, and aligned with customer expectations

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field

0-2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in a project or product engineering capacity

Working knowledge of manufacturing processes such as machining, injection molding, metal fabrication, or assembly

Experience with CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar)

Strong problem-solving skills and a continuous improvement mindset

Comfortable balancing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment

Excellent communication and collaboration skills across departments

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Exposure to lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies

Familiarity with GD&T and mechanical drawing interpretation

Prior experience in quoting / custom product development
