OVERVIEW
The Conflict Analyst is responsible for searching and performing an initial analysis of conflicts reports regarding new business intake and incoming attorneys.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Generates timely and comprehensive conflict reports;
- Performs an initial analysis of conflict reports and communicates findings to attorneys and the Office of the General Counsel;
- Processes new client and matter requests in the New Business Intake system; ensures that all information (e.g., party names, party positions, etc.) entered into the system is accurate;
- Performs conflict searches and provides analysis on previous work experience of incoming attorneys;
- Perform Know Your Client (KYC) due diligence, including Simplified and Enhanced Due Diligence on current and potential clients. Gather and confirm the accuracy of relevant documentation and facts related to the KYC process;
- Assists in maintenance of database of client engagement documentation including engagement letters, conflict waivers, outside counsel guidelines and Know Your Client due diligence; and
- Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree;2+ years of experience in performing conflict checks and analysis; preferably in a legal or professional services environment;Ability to perform well under pressure;Self-motivated and able to work well in a team setting;Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills;Familiarity with automated new business intake workflow systems – preferably IntApp Flow. Experience with IntApp Walls, World-Check and Capital IQ a plus; andAvailability to work weekday evenings and weekends.This position is located in our New York office but offers remote and flexible work arrangements, as needed. The hours for this position are 9 : 00 a.m. to 5 : 00 p.m, Monday through Friday. The estimated salary range for this position is $70,000 to $85,000 plus overtime. The actual salary offered will be based on a wide range of factors, including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and where applicable, licensure or certification obtained. Market and Firm factors are also considered.
