What this job involves :
Join JLL as a Mobile HVAC Engineer where you'll play a critical role in maintaining optimal facility operations across multiple assigned properties. This mobile position focuses on operating, inspecting, and maintaining all HVAC, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems to achieve maximum efficiency and equipment longevity. You'll travel between various client sites ensuring energy-efficient operations while minimizing downtime through proactive maintenance and strategic repair planning. Your expertise will directly contribute to exceptional client occupancy experiences and operational excellence across JLL's diverse property portfolio.
What your day-to-day will look like :
- Performance of ongoing preventive and repair response work orders on facility mechanical, electrical, and other installed systems, equipment, and components across multiple properties
- Maintain, operate, and repair all HVAC systems and associated equipment, electrical distribution equipment, plumbing systems, building interior / exterior areas, and related grounds
- Perform assigned facility inspections and due diligence efforts, reporting conditions that impact satisfactory client occupancy and operations
- Respond effectively to all emergencies and support after-hours building activities as required across assigned mobile route
- Prepare and submit summary reports to management detailing conditions found and recommending corrective actions
- Study and maintain familiarity with building automation systems, fire / life safety systems, and other building-related equipment
- Comply with all safety procedures while maintaining good housekeeping and proposing methods to eliminate safety hazards
Required Qualifications :
Universal EPA 608 CertificationMinimum four (4) years of technical experience in all aspects of building engineering with strong background in packaged HVAC, plumbing, and electrical equipment repair and maintenanceValid state driver's license (must maintain) with reliable transportation for mobile assignmentsPhysical ability to lift up to 80 lbs. and climb up to 30 ft. laddersAvailability to perform on-call duties and overtime as requiredCompliance with State, County, or City Ordinances, Codes, or LawsWillingness to attend periodic training seminarsPreferred Qualifications :
Knowledge of overall MEP / HVAC system design and applicationExperience managing work orders utilizing CMMS technologyExperience working in service-related roles specific to commercial facilitiesFamiliarity with building automation systems and fire / life safety systemsLocation : Mobile position covering Cedar Rapids, IA and surrounding area
