Job Overview :

We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Lead Operations Engineer to join our team. This role requires deep technical expertise in Databricks, AWS SageMaker, AWS Networking, and Terraform, along with strong communication skills to closely collaborate with business end users. The ideal candidate will ensure infrastructure is scalable, secure, and aligned with both technical and business requirements. Key Responsibilities :

Collaborate directly with business end users to understand operational issues, troubleshoot problems, and implement long-term solutions.
Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of scalable cloud infrastructure using AWS and Terraform.
Manage and optimize Databricks and SageMaker environments for performance, reliability, and cost efficiency.
Develop and enforce security policies (IAM, resource access policies, etc.) to ensure compliance and secure operations.
Support end-to-end operational workflows, from issue resolution to system enhancement, across both technical and business domains.
Implement and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform.
Create automation scripts for deployment, monitoring, and reporting processes.
Monitor system performance and reliability, handle incident response and root cause analysis.
Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the evolution of DevOps best practices within the organization.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Operations, or Infrastructure Engineering roles.

Expertise in AWS, including SageMaker, VPC, IAM, and networking services.

Strong hands-on experience with Databricks in production environments.

Proficient in writing Terraform modules and managing infrastructure via IaC.

Proven experience in writing, managing, and enforcing security and IAM policies.

Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to resolving issues.

Strong communication and stakeholder management skills; ability to work directly with non-technical users.

Proficient in scripting (Unix, Python, Bash, etc.).

Preferred Qualifications :

AWS Certifications (, DevOps Engineer, Solutions Architect).

Experience with CI / CD pipelines and tools such as GitHub Actions

Exposure to containerization and orchestration tools (, Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.

Familiarity with supporting data science or machine learning workflows.
