Colorectal Surgeon

Responsibilities

Virginia Mason Medical Center (VMMC), a recognized leader in quality and innovation in healthcare, is seeking a full-time, board-eligible or board-certified Colorectal Surgeon to join our surgical team in Seattle, Washington.

As a colorectal surgeon at VMMC, you will be part of an experienced, high-performing team at a quaternary care center within one of the largest healthcare systems in the Seattle-Tacoma region. Our team is committed to delivering high-quality, compassionate, and comprehensive care for patients with colorectal diseases and disorders.

Position Overview

This position offers a broad and challenging surgical practice that encompasses the full spectrum of colorectal disease, including :

• Colon, rectal, and anal cancer
• Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD)
• Diverticulitis
• Pelvic organ prolapse and fecal incontinence
• Complex anorectal conditions

You will also participate in the education of medical students, residents, fellows, as well as in clinical research and multidisciplinary care teams including colorectal cancer, IBD, and pelvic floor disorders.

Qualifications

While all applications are welcome, special consideration will be given to candidates with recent publications in peer-reviewed journals, and who hold leadership positions or are very active in national surgical societies. A track record of leadership resulting in the growth of a program’s volume and visibility would also be particularly attractive. Pay Range

$197.56 - $235.41 / hour
