JOB DESCRIPTION

Responsibilities :

  • Performs any combination of following tasks :

Setup and calibration of full length UT Truscope machinery designed to inspect OCTG Basic repairs needed to keep Truscope operational

  • Completes required paperwork for above inspection processes.
  • Understand changing customer requirements and liaison with customer's forklift driver
  • Performs In-Plant housekeeping tasks at the direction of the Shift Leadman
  • May be required to assist or perform Prove Up Inspector duties when need arises
  • Occasionally the Truscope Operator will be expected to fill in for the Shift Leadman during his absence. (as a result the Tru Opr will need to display the same characteristics of responsibility that the Shift Lead does)

    • Qualifications :

  • High school, GED or other appropriate training; commercial or shop training; technical school
  • Have mastered the following jobs prior to being considered for Truscope Operator

    • 1. Tally - Gen Laborer

    2. SEA - MT2 cert

    3. Prove Up - MT2 & UT2 certs Note : UT1 cert will be considered in lieu of UT2 for Opr C title only if Div. Mgr. deems it appropriate. UT2 will be mandatory for Opr Lead, A & B)
