Job Description – Remote Level 2 Deployment Technician (Win10 → Win11 Upgrade) Position Title : Level 2 Deployment Technician – Windows 10 to 11 Migration Job Summary : The Level 2 Deployment Technician will be responsible for upgrading end-user devices from Windows 10 to Windows 11 in an enterprise environment. This includes system preparation, performing the upgrade, validating post-deployment functionality, and providing end-user support during the transition. Key Responsibilities : Execute in-place upgrades of Windows 10 systems to Windows 11. Perform pre-upgrade checks : hardware readiness, data backup, application compatibility. Troubleshoot and resolve common deployment issues (drivers, connectivity, profile errors). Configure corporate applications and security settings post-upgrade. Provide hands-on desk-side or remote support to end users during migration. Document upgrade status, exceptions, and escalate unresolved issues. Ensure compliance with organizational IT standards and security policies. Provide brief user guidance on Windows 11 changes. Skills & Qualifications : 2–4 years of experience in IT support, system deployment, or desktop engineering. Strong knowledge of Windows 10 / 11 OS, Active Directory, Group Policy, and MDM tools (Intune / SCCM). Familiarity with BIOS / UEFI, drivers, and device firmware updates. Experience with Office 365, VPN clients, and endpoint security tools. Ability to diagnose and resolve upgrade failures (rollback, recovery). Strong communication and documentation skills. Preferred Certifications : CompTIA A+ / Network+ Microsoft Modern Desktop Administrator Associate (MD-100 / 101) ITIL Foundation (optional, good to have)
