ResponsibilitiesDevelop project scope, prepare budgets, create proposals, and manage client communications, ensuring clear and effective relationship-building.Coordinate project meetings, provide strategic problem-solving, and oversee invoicing processes to maintain timely and accurate billing cycles.Ensure the successful completion of project tasks within designated timeframes, maintaining a high standard of quality in all deliverables.Support team efforts through effective delegation and by fostering a collaborative environment.Act as the primary liaison for projects, handling external meetings, and addressing project scope, progress, and environmental clearance strategies.Simultaneously manage multiple projects while adhering to established project management protocols and safety guidelines.Lead fieldwork for mitigation and restoration projects, ensuring compliance with agency requirements.Conduct ecological modeling data acquisition for basic assessments, interpret data, and prepare and review technical reports.Demonstrate proficiency in technical writing, reviewing, and editing complex documents related to resource topics such as habitat assessments, wetland delineations, Phase I ESAs, and NEPA documents.
Skills RequiredLead standard wetland delineations, prepare technical reports, conduct quality reviews, and defend findings to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE).Conduct habitat assessments for threatened and endangered species, producing detailed technical reports.Oversee Phase I Environmental Site Assessment (ESA) data collection and prepare / sign technical reports as an Environmental Professional (EP).Direct tree surveys, fieldwork, and subsequent technical report preparation.Guide clients through the USACE permitting process, including Nationwide Permits, Individual Permits, and other navigation-related permits, providing strategic advice on compliance and permitting.Prepare NEPA documentation, including Categorical Exclusions, Environmental Assessments, and Environmental Impact Statements for various federal and state agencies.Conduct species-specific field surveys, prepare associated reports, and coordinate with agencies for the protection of state or federally listed species.Prepare Biological Evaluations and Biological Assessments for Section 7 Consultations, coordinating with relevant wildlife agencies.Lead submerged aquatic resource assessments, prepare technical reports, and conduct quality reviews.Develop basic permittee-responsible mitigation plans and oversee their construction and monitoring. xklufbp Qualifications : Bachelor's degree in environmental science, biology, ecology, environmental planning, or a relatedfield3+ years of professional consulting or related experience in environmental clearance, permitting,and mitigation / restorationWorking knowledge of regulations and experience in natural resources within the Gulf Coast region,coastal habitats, and central Texas as well as surrounding statesProven success in working with a team in an office and / or field team for an extended periodDemonstrated knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations pertaining to environmental andnatural resources, such as the National Environmental Policy Act and the Clean Water ActStrong technical writer and document reviewerProficient in basic computer software programs and computer skillsPreferred : Relevant USFWS Section 10(a)(1)(A) Scientific Permit(s)Professional Wetland ScientistTxDOT Precertification(s)Certified ArboristCertified EcologistGIS experienceMultilingualPandoLogic.
