Entry-Level Painter / Blaster

Summary / Objective :

The Painter / Blaster is responsible for preparing and coating various surfaces to ensure the highest quality and durability.

This role involves the application of protective coatings and the operation of blasting equipment to remove rust, scale, and contaminants .

Duties / Responsibilities :

• Sandblast and Paint raw steel platforms and various products and equipment.
• Operate sandblasting equipment to remove paint, rust, dirt, or other debris from surfaces
• Prepare surfaces by cleaning and masking areas that are not to be blasted
• Inspect surfaces to ensure they are properly prepared for coating or repair
• Follow safety procedures and wear appropriate protective equipment
• Maintain and clean sandblasting equipment
• Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and effectively
• Move platforms and various products using an overhead crane or forklift.
• Perform Sandblasting and Wet Painting tasks in a safe and timely manner.
• On occasion be required to perform general labor and cleaning tasks as directed by your supervisor or lead person.
• Keep up with routine maintenance procedures and cleaning equipment.
• Document inspections and paint usage in proper records.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
