SALARY RANGE : $22.00 - $30.00 per hour
In determining compensation, various factors will be considered, including but not limited to, educational background; relevant experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, market factors; and geographic location.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES :
Read blueprints for electrical, mechanical and structural tasks for material aquisition and installation.Manage and conduct physical inventory receipt inspection of items to and from warehousing / storage locations until final shipboard installation.Applying procurement policies and procedures and compliance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations (DFARS) related to procurement and management of material and equipment.Compile and create Bills of Material (BOMs) and Job Material Lists (JMLs) for contracted work while submitting proposals for future contracts.Prepare Purchase Order Requests (PORs) based on task requirements and ensures all quality attributes and requirements are identified.Track the POR from inception through submittal to Purchasing for Purchase Order (PO) preparation, and provide status to Program Manager.Monitor material and services procured for each task to ensure on-time delivery within the quoted price and assists in expediting delivery based on task requirements or direction from Program Manager.Ensure PORs have required documentation in compliance with the approved procurement system for defined price thresholds including definition of requirements; competition; vendor qualifications, representations and certifications; government contract requirements including vendor prequalification, order rating; cost or price negotiation, analysis and justification; designation of terms and conditions including contract type, terms of payment. Simultaneously manage several projects in a fast-paced environment.Provide input for addressing Corrective Action Reports (CAR) regarding purchasing process issues. Handle unforeseen issues, such as delivery problems, and adjust plans as needed to resolve the issues.Design strategies to minimize the cost or time while improving efficiency required to purchase, move or deliver goods.Reports or Expediting as tasked by the Program Manager.EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS :
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in the Supply / Logistics and ship repair field in relation to a DoD procurement and production environment.Excellent capabilities with Microsoft Office suite.SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS :
