Join Our Team as a Resolutions Specialist!
Are you a detail-oriented problem solver who enjoys working with people to find solutions? As a Resolutions Specialist at Magid, you'll play a key role in maintaining strong customer relationships by managing account collections, resolving discrepancies, and ensuring smooth communication across departments. You'll collaborate with both internal teams and external customers to identify issues, take action, and help drive the company's financial success.
What will you do?
- Research and resolve past due invoices on customer accounts
- Recognize trends on customers' accounts and adjust prevent invoices from going past due
- Review often each day customers' order holds. Analyze accounts, resolve any discrepancies and determine if customers' orders can be released
- Assist all customers with their requests / needs
- Collaborate with our customers via phone, e-mail, etc. to resolve issues
- Enter comments to record collection activities
- Communicate with internal customers (i.e. Sales and Customer Service, etc.) regarding customer account issues and order status
- Resolution of discrepancies, such as discounts taken, chargebacks, terms disputes, skipped invoices, unauthorized deductions, and misapplied cash
- Special projects as assigned
This hybrid position offers the best of both worlds-three days a week in our Romeoville, IL office (Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays) and two days remote (Tuesdays and Fridays). Join a team that values initiative, collaboration, and results, and make a meaningful impact every day.
Requirements
What do you need?
High school diploma required, Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferredMinimum of 3 years of Collections or related experience required. Preferably at a manufacturing companyStrong verbal and written communication skills with attention to detail requiredStrong technical abilitiesStrong Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel and Outlook) requiredStrong negotiation, analytical (deduction analysis), and problem-solving skillsStrong ability to create and foster relationships with internal and external customersAS400 system experience highly desirableActual pay will be adjusted based on job-related factors permitted by law, such as experience and training, geographic location, additional qualifications such as licensure or certifications, market factors, and responsibilities.Magid offers a variety of benefits to our team members including :
