Position Summary
As a Drywall Estimator , you will lead the full bid processfrom organizing bid documents to delivering professional proposals. Your deep understanding of construction methods and building standards will ensure accurate, competitive estimates that position the company for success.
This role offers a compensation range of $85,000 to $125,000 per year , along with a generous benefits package , including :

Key Responsibilities
Bid Process Management
Organize and review bid documents for clarity, completeness, and compliance with company standardsAnalyze plans and specifications, identifying and resolving any ambiguities before submissionPrepare detailed quantity takeoffs for labor, materials, and equipmentCustomize quantity data per client request (by area, trade, or building component)Facilitate bid reviews, ensuring timely confirmation of estimating assumptionsDevelop and present professional written and verbal proposalsEstimating & Analysis
Stay informed on construction techniques, labor rates, materials, and building codesIncorporate scheduling, sequencing, and safety considerations into cost estimatesCollaborate with project management on production goals and subcontractor quotesIdentify value engineering opportunities to enhance competitivenessPost-Award Support
Confirm contract scope and participate in project turnover meetingsAssist in building budgets, procuring materials, and selecting subcontractorsSupport change order processes and monitor project progressParticipate in project reviews to gather lessons learned for future bidsQualifications
Education & Experience
4-year degree in Construction Technology or equivalent technical training / experiencePrior experience in construction estimating (drywall-specific experience a plus)Skills & Competencies
In-depth knowledge of construction methods and codesStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent verbal and written communicationEffective collaboration with customers, subcontractors, and internal teamsAbility to manage multiple bids under deadlinesProficient with cost estimating and quantity survey softwareQualifications
