The VP Technology is the leader for Benefit’s technology plans, translating business needs into a technology strategy. The primary responsibility of this role is to understand Benefit’s business goals, strategies, and priorities, and build a technology plan to support and even accelerate the business. This role will function as a connector between Benefit Cosmetics and LVMH Beauty Tech, ensuring unique business needs are supported by technology, while also providing Benefit teams visibility to LVMH technology solutions and priorities. This role is expected to share and advocate for Benefit Cosmetics IT needs to deliver on company commitments, while understanding Beauty Tech priorities. The ideal candidate will be able to expertly balance multiple needs from various stakeholders and have a transformation mindset. This role will own the Benefit technology budget, and work across all functions of the organization, globally.
What You’ll Do :
Act as the IT Lead for Benefit
- Understand the context, ambitions, and business stakes of Benefit to define priorities and the must-win battles in the corporate and retail spaces.
- Be the advocate of Benefit within the different decision instances of Beauty Tech (HQ and / or Regions), to ensure the priorities for Benefit are understood and considered.
- Contribute to the definition of a consistent technology roadmap considering business priorities, values, resources, budget, and tech dimensions.
- Connect regularly with Benefit stakeholders (globally in both corporate and retail spaces) to identify key needs and conditions for success.
- Manage day-to-day operations within the Information Technology landscape and communicate with stakeholders on key gaps and risks.
- Be a champion for change management and ensure the successful training, adoption, and implementation of technology needs / initiatives.
- Maximize IT investment through efficient budget management by : Measuring and tracking business valuesConsolidating IT Cost and Investment for BenefitSupervising the use of the budgetGiving direction on how to optimize the IT spendMonitor and plan Capex and Opex budget to ensure the best decisions for short, mid, and long-term vision
- Follow up and communicate the progress of Benefit IT projects; get ahead of projects delays and work judiciously to deliver on Benefit business needs.
- Be a proactive innovation partner.
- Be Benefit’s post-sale point of contact, taking charge of the whole “demand-to-invoice” journey for contracted services with a continuous improvement mindset : Work closely with Benefit’s stakeholders, capture their demands, prioritize based on Benefit’s long-term planUnderstand customer and retail pain-points and propose alternativesDevelop and perform surveys to get the feedback from Benefit
- Advocate for Benefit overall, and influence changes in ways of working to build efficiency and synergy between Benefit and Beauty Tech.
As a key contributor to LVMH Beauty Tech’s IS / IT roadmap
Promote the relevant services, based on proposed Beauty Tech catalog of services : Act as a champion of the services appropriate for Benefit and help the Maison understand their valuesInfluence service directionGather Benefit’s needs & expectations as inputs to enrich the catalog of services in order to ensure its relevance over timeParticipate actively to the recruitment & evaluation of delivery teams dedicated to BenefitBuild an extensive network to ensure stakeholders' alignment, anticipate their needs and avoid shadow IT initiativesBe a contributor to the following committees :

12 years of experience in technology, particularly in managing large-scale transformation programs and projects in corporations or consulting companies.Bachelor’s degree computer science, information systems, or related field. Equivalent experience may be accepted.Proven track-record of leadership; can "sell" your ideas and is results and action-oriented.Good knowledge of the Beauty sector (including skincare, fragrances, and cosmetics), luxury, pharmaceuticals, or consumer products.Proven experience in developing expert teams in the context of a major cultural transformation, and experience successfully federating different stakeholders in an international environment.Strong interpersonal skills and effective communication abilities; ability to speak French a plus.Proven leadership skills through solid coaching of employees and communicationSolid understanding of ERP, Data, other systems and infrastructure managementAbility to multitask and work under pressure in a fast-paced dynamic environment with changing demands and priorities.Resourceful problem solver with the ability to use tools and resources to answer questions.Keen attention to detail and ability to identify problems in data intuitively.Flexible, team player with the ability to work independently as well as with cross functional teams.Willingness to accept new responsibilities and challenges.Schedule :
Hybrid - requires onsite presence weeklyThe target salary range for this position is $225,000-$285,000 annually. The actual salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, which may include, as applicable, years of relevant experience; certifications or other professional licenses held; other legitimate, non-discriminatory business factors specific to the position; and the geographic location in which the applicant lives and / or from which they will perform the job. This position is eligible to earn an annual bonus.
