The Department of Business and Professional Regulation (DBPR) is the agency charged with licensing and regulating State of Florida businesses and professionals, such as cosmetologists, veterinarians, condominiums, hotels, and restaurants. Our mission is to license efficiently and regulate fairly, and we strive to meet this goal in our day-to-day operations.
This position is within the Bureau of Public Engagement in the Division of Condominiums, Timeshares and Mobile Homes. It is part of the administrative assistant team and is responsible for the office's administrative functions.
Your specific responsibilities include :
- Answering telephones and routing calls to the appropriate staff members, opening incoming mail and routing to the appropriate individuals, scheduling appointments, organizing, filing and maintaining paper as well as electronic files.
- Interface with the public and will help provide pertinent information to callers.
- Compile and maintain various reports and records for the RTS supervisor.
- Arrange travel schedules and reservations as well as help maintain the calendar(s) and coordinate meetings for RTS team.
- Assist the RTS Supervisor with hiring packages for new staff members including, but not limited to, scheduling interviews and work samples, collecting documents from the applicants, compiling documents and information for the hiring package, and sending scanned documents to the Division HR Liaison.
- Greets and welcomes visitors, determines the nature of their business, and directs visitors to employer or the appropriate person.
- Performs other related work duties as required.

Two (2) years of relevant experience in customer service and administrative functions.
