Our Dental Assistants assist in the examination and treatment of patients under the direction of a dentist.

A Day in the Life of a Dental Assistant may look like this :
- Greet and prepare dental patients
- Assist dentists during procedures and maintain instruments and supplies
- Perform basic and some moderately complex dental procedures
- Assisting in handing instruments and materials to dentists and keep patients' mouths dry and clear by using suction or other devices
- Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment
- Prepare trays of instruments for dental procedures and instruct patients on postoperative and general oral health care
- Recording patients' health histories
- Taking and developing x-rays and preparing dental compounds
- Taking pouring and trimming dental impressions and seating temporary restorations
We ask our Dental Assistants to possess a minimum of :
High school diploma or GEDActive Texas Dental Assistant LicenseBasic Life Support (BLS) certification from American Heart Association or American Red CrossThe following experience / skills are preferred :
Experience as a Dental Assistant, minimum of one (1) yearProficiency with EMR systemBilingual English / Spanish language skills are a definite plusKey Success Factors
