We are looking for a skilled Desktop Support Analyst to join our team in Brooklyn, New York. In this Contract-to-Permanent position, you will play a vital role in delivering technical assistance to faculty, staff, students, and guests, ensuring smooth operation of desktop computers, peripherals, and multimedia tools. Responsibilities :
- Provide prompt and courteous technical support to users by addressing work tickets from the service desk queue.
- Maintain accurate documentation of user issues, resolutions, and events within the support ticketing system.
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot desktop computers, peripherals, and multimedia equipment.
- Support the integration and operation of instructional technology tools for classrooms and learning environments.
- Assist with the deployment and management of software using tools such as Microsoft SCCM and Jamf Pro.
- Ensure the functionality and security of devices running on Mac OS X, Windows, Android, and iOS platforms.
- Collaborate with team members to deliver timely solutions for hardware and software problems.
- Monitor and manage inventory of IT equipment to ensure availability and proper functionality.
- Communicate effectively with users to understand their needs and provide tailored technical solutions.
- Proficiency in PC desktop and workstation support.
- Experience with Mac OS X and mobile operating systems such as Android and iOS.
- Familiarity with software deployment tools like Microsoft SCCM and Jamf Pro.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 applications and troubleshooting.
- Ability to work flexible hours to accommodate organizational needs.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with diverse user groups.
- Previous experience in a help desk or technical support role is preferred.
