SR Payroll Analyst

Responsibilities
- Process high-volume weekly payroll for construction employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Handle multi-state payroll processing, ensuring proper tax calculations across various jurisdictions.
- Manage union payroll processing, including wage allocations, fringe benefits, and compliance reporting.
- Verify and process timecards, ensuring accuracy in hours worked, overtime, and job classifications by coordinating with department time approvers to resolve discrepancies.
- Reconcile payroll data, identify discrepancies, and ensure timely payroll submission.
- Process garnishment payments, payroll deductions, and other wage-related obligations in compliance with legal and company policies.
- Prepare and submit certified payroll reports in compliance with prevailing wage laws (Davis-Bacon, state / local).
- Maintain and submit CXC (Contractor Compliance Exchange) reporting, ensuring timely and accurate submissions.
- Ensure payroll compliance with federal and state tax regulations, wage laws, Davis-Bacon Act, and union agreements.
- Handle payroll tax filings, including federal / state / local tax deposits and quarterly / year-end reporting.
- Manage 401K, HSA / FSA contributions, deductions, and reconciliations.
- Support payroll audits, including certified payroll audits, union payroll audits, and year-end payroll tax audits.
- Conduct and assist with 401K audits, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and accurate recordkeeping.
Qualifications
8+ years of experience in payroll administration, specifically in construction payroll.Expertise in multi-state payroll, union payroll, and certified payroll reporting.Proficiency in payroll systems (e.g., ADP, Paylocity, Paycom, Foundation, or similar).Strong knowledge of payroll taxes, wage laws, and compliance regulations.Experience with 401K, HSA, FSA payroll deductions and reconciliations.Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data analysis, formulas).Experience processing CXC (Contractor Compliance Exchange) reports.Meticulously organized with high attention to detail and accuracy.Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills; ability to work under tight deadlines.Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally.Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (preferred but not required).Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) certification (a plus).Familiarity with union payroll reporting requirements.Benefits
