HII Unmanned Systems requires an On-site Technical Representative in San Diego, Ca to support U.S. Navy operations with our REMUS vehicles. Candidate will work closely with Navy personnel on-site at the NIWC-Pacific Bayside. Candidate will report to the Repair Manager. Position will be primarily on-site at the Navy facility at Point Loma.

The On-site Technical Representative acts as the primary liaison between HII project managers / customer service and the US Navy MK18 customers. Diligently documenting case notes and work orders, while independently managing and organizing a personal work depot. Must be a highly motivated self-starter who takes initiative to communicate effectively and maintain continuous progress on repairs.

Candidate will perform the following tasks :

• Local Troubleshooting Support : Estimated 80% of overall effort.
• Conduct Local Training Events : Estimated 5% of overall effort
• In Water Ops Advanced Tech Support : Estimated >

5% of overall effort Technical Data QA : Estimated >

What you will be doing!!

Conducts technical analysis of product implementations, modifications and enhancements to product in accordance with specific customer specifications and implementations. Troubleshoots technical problems and issues, determines technical solution in accordance with product and customer specifications, and recommends actions to company or customer representatives for coordinative product solution. Assesses product needs in accordance with customer specifications. Conducts technical training and product briefing with customers, vendors and company representatives. Acts as local on-site representative to customer's organization.

May require working in an industrial or shipboard environment. Normally not required to lift more than 40 pounds higher than three feet above feet / floor level. May encounter extremes of temperature, pollution, humidity, noise, and other environmental factors while collecting data, observing performance of task teams.
