Position Overview
The Director of Infrastructure will oversee the planning, development, and execution of infrastructure projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety. This role requires a strategic thinker with a proven background in infrastructure and construction management, who can lead cross-functional teams and collaborate with stakeholders to deliver complex projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, design, and execution of various infrastructure projects including roadways, lighting, and electrical systems.
- Manage project budgets, timelines, and resources to ensure successful completion of projects.
- Collaborate with engineering, construction, and project management teams to develop project specifications and standards.
- Oversee the procurement process for contractors and materials, ensuring compliance with regulations and safety standards.
- Implement project management best practices to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
- Facilitate communication between stakeholders, including government agencies, contractors, and the public.
- Review and approve change orders and manage project scope changes effectively.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field; Master's degree preferred. Trade school ok with commensurate experience.8+ years of experience in infrastructure and construction project management.Proven experience managing multi-million dollar projects with a strong track record of success.In-depth knowledge of construction processes, contract management, and project delivery methods.Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage teams effectively.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels.Professional certifications such as PMP or similar are highly desirable.Experience with traffic signals., roadway lighting, airport lighting, intelligent transportation systems and light rail electrical construction desired.Benefits
