Job Description
We are seeking an experienced E-Commerce Solutions Lead Specialist Engineer to oversee the design, development, integration, and optimization of enterprise-scale e-commerce platforms. This role involves leading technical architecture, implementing scalable commerce solutions, improving system performance, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance customer experience and revenue growth. The ideal candidate must have strong expertise in e-commerce frameworks, ERP integration, and cloud-based applications.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the end-to-end design and implementation of enterprise e-commerce solutions and platform architectures.
Develop scalable and secure e-commerce applications, APIs, and backend services.
Manage integration of e-commerce platforms with ERP, CRM, payment gateways, logistics partners, and third-party systems.
Drive performance optimization, reliability, and availability of e-commerce systems.
Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
Mentor and guide engineering teams with best practices and code reviews.
Work closely with UX / UI designers to ensure a seamless and user-focused digital experience.
Implement analytics, personalization, and A / B testing tools to support conversion and digital optimization.
Oversee release management, version control, and continuous integration processes.
Troubleshoot production issues and provide technical leadership for incident resolution.
Ensure security standards, compliance, and data protection across platforms.
Prepare technical documentation, architectural diagrams, and project reports.
Required Qualifications
12+ years of experience in software engineering with at least 6 years focused on e-commerce solutions.
Strong hands-on experience with major e-commerce platforms such as Magento, Shopify Plus, Salesforce Commerce Cloud, SAP Commerce (Hybris), or Adobe Commerce.
Proficiency in backend technologies such as Java, .NET, Python, Node.js, or PHP.
Experience building and consuming RESTful and GraphQL APIs.
Strong understanding of cloud services such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or DynamoDB.
Proven experience integrating with ERP, CRM, and payment systems such as SAP, Oracle, Salesforce, Stripe, PayPal, and others.
Knowledge of microservices architecture and containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
Experience with CI / CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, Bamboo, or Azure DevOps.
Strong understanding of web security standards and regulatory requirements such as PCI-DSS.
Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced and agile environment with strong problem-solving capabilities.
