The Business development manager (BDM) is responsible for increasing gross profit and market share while developing ongoing relationships with new and existing customers.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :
- Utilize market data and develop sales strategies to increase SILVER / GOLD / PLATINUM customer base.
- Maintain a thorough knowledge of products and services offered by the company.
- Travel throughout assigned territory to meet with regular and prospective customers.
- Able to develop and maintain strong business relationships.
- Provide pricing, credit terms, and prepare sales contracts for orders obtained.
- Provide activity reports and sales plans for the assigned territory.
- Actively participate in aggressive sales and skills training
- Adhere to all requirements outlined in the Sales Policy
- Other duties may be assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS :
5+ years of business development experience, ideally within international freight forwarding and logistics servicesExperience with CRM and CMS tools preferredThorough knowledge of freight forwarding industry to include - air / ocean / imports / exports / customs brokerage operations.Must have a deep knowledge of the local market, customers, and competitive landscape.Strong leadership presence and ability to influence cross-functional teams.Skilled in consultative selling and managing complex sales cycles.Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.Strong organizational and time management capabilities.Proficiency in Microsoft Office SuiteMust be able to travel frequently within the region.Thorough knowledge of successful sales techniquesDetail oriented, able to multitask and meet deadlinesSelf-driven individual, able to work in a team and independentlyEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE :
Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent industry experience will be considered.5+ years of business development experience, ideally within international freight forwarding and logistics services.Experience selling in verticals such as – Projects, Pharma & Healthcare, Automotive, Aerospace & Defense, Technology, Energy Solutions, and Technology.Experience with CMS systemACCOUNT CLASSIFICATION
