Description :
Atlas is responsible for tasks associated with industrial plant site clean-up. We use vacuums, high pressure water and dry ice blasting equipment, hazardous waste and decontamination clean-up equipment, and handle hazardous and non-hazardous waste and materials. This position offers great opportunity to work as part of a team, grow skill set, and advance from entry-level to supervisory roles.
REPORTS TO : Field Operations Manager
RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Operate light and heavy equipment to include, but not limited to, pumps, vacuum equipment, hydro blasting equipment, forklifts, man lifts, jackhammers, and other light and heavy equipment.
- Perform activities to include, but not limited to, clean-up of chemical and water spills, tank cleaning, boiler cleaning, equipment decontamination, and other duties as assigned.
- Perform vehicle inspections, equipment inspections and Health & Safety inspections.
- Perform strenuous physical labor to include, but not limited to lifting, pulling, and pushing heavy objects.
- Ensures proper use of equipment and immediately notifies the supervisor of any mechanical failures and / or problems with equipment.
- Maintain professional appearance and demeanor while on jobsites and in uniform.
- Maintain quick and immediate response when on call.
Requirements :
Maintain a valid driver’s license, acceptable motor vehicle record (MVR), and pass a DOT medical physical, drug screening, and criminal history check.Construction field or industrial / environmental related experience is a plus.Strong mechanical ability is preferred.Attention to detail and multi-task abilities.Willingness to work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions.Willingness to travel if necessary (typically within a 4-hour driving distance or less).Ability to work with little supervision and an aptitude to complete assigned work.Complete company provided training for confined space entry (CSE) and 40 Hour OSHA HAZWOPER.BENEFITS :

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS :
Ability to withstand strenuous physical exertion.Ability to spend considerable amounts of time standing, walking, climbing, hoisting, and bending over.Ability to climb ladders, scaffolding, tanks, and other containers.Ability to lift 50-75lb.Ability to work in an environment with potentially elevated noise levels and confined spaces.Ability to work in atmospheres and locations with the potential for exposure to various chemical and physical agents, some of which may be hazardous, toxic or corrosive.Ability to properly wear and use personal respirator equipment and other forms of personal protective equipment (PPE).Ability to withstand shifts that typically, but not always, exceed 8 hours.Ability, during emergency response situations, withstand shifts that may extend beyond 8 hours, up to 12-24 hours.
