Bilingual Community Counselor (LICSW or LMHC)

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group counseling services to clients in both English and Haitian Creole or Spanish.
• Conduct assessments and develop personalized treatment plans that address the specific needs of clients.
• Facilitate support groups focused on mental health, wellness, and community resources.
• Monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals and community organizations to provide comprehensive care.
• Maintain detailed and accurate case notes documenting client interactions and progress.
• Stay informed about current best practices and developments in mental health care to provide the best support to clients.
• Must possess a current LICSW or LMHC license in good standing.
• Fluency in Spanish or Haitian Creole is required, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated experience in providing mental health counseling in a community setting.
• Strong understanding of cultural competencies and the unique challenges faced by diverse populations.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail in maintaining client records.
• Commitment to professional development and continuous education in the field of mental health.
