Registered Nurse Job Details

Job Title : Homecare Registered Nurse (RN) – Travel Nurse

Location : Newport News, Virginia 23601

Assignment Type : Travel Nursing Contract

Duration : 13 weeks (Start : November 10, 2025 – End : February 9, 2026)

Estimated Weekly Pay : $2,070 – $2,130

Shift : Day Shift, 8 Hour Days (08 : 00 – 16 : 00), Monday–Friday with every 4th weekend rotation

Hours per Week : 40

Orientation : 40 hours

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Virginia or compact state (Virginia nursing jobs)

Minimum 2 years of recent home health nursing experience, including OASIS documentation

BLS certification required

ACLS certification preferred

EPIC charting experience required

Previous charge nurse experience required

Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

NIH and stroke education required

Ability to provide at least one supervisory reference (two for compliance)

Specialty home health experience within the last year

Homecare RN Responsibilities

Deliver skilled nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in their homes (home health nursing jobs)

Complete 6 points per day or 30 points per week based on visit type (initial evaluations, follow-ups, lab draws, recertifications, etc.)

Accurately document patient care using OASIS and EPIC

Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members, including Physical Therapy and Social Services

Work Monday–Friday with every 4th weekend rotation

Float to other units as needed per facility requirements

Maintain compliance with agency policies and travel nursing guidelines
