Ultrasound Manager

Job Purpose : Responsible for the clinical and administrative activities of diagnostic ultrasound services, as well as for providing detailed ultrasound imaging of the female reproductive system to help identify the causes of infertility and to guide fertility treatments. The Ultrasound Manager is also responsible for the implementation of quality assurance / control programs, regulatory compliance, and staff training. This is a responsible position that must demonstrate excellent analytical and critical thinking skills to optimize resources and maximize patient results.

Essential Functions and Accountabilities :

• Collaborates with physicians, other medical providers, and patients by providing expert care and service for fertility treatments
• Establishes personal rapport with patients
• Performs detailed sonographic examinations of female reproductive systems and identifies abnormalities
• Responsible for generating and documenting ultrasound reports for physician interpretation
• Procedure set-up, following all sterile precautions.
• Performs and provides explanations of procedures, including Sonohysterograms, FemVue, and Ultrasound guidance for embryo transfers
• Tracks fetal growth and development up to 9 weeks gestational age
• Maintains ultrasound equipment
• Orders ultrasound supplies and keeps rooms stocked
• Travel to other Company locations as needed
• Rotating holiday and weekend morning shift coverage
