TITLE : Procurement Manager
POSITION CLASSIFICATION : Exempt
DEPARTMENT : Procurement
POSITION REPORT TO : Director of Procurement
SUMMARY : The Procurement Manager is responsible for sourcing raw materials and components that go into the products sold but Cuisine Solutions. You will work with suppliers to negotiate prices terms and conditions of sale. You will also be involved in quality control or other aspects of product development.
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE :
- Bachelors Degree and 4 years experience in procurement in the protein industry (Beef chicken pork or specialty meat) preferred not required.
- Strong negotiation skills required
- Strong supply chain management experience necessary with an emphasis on inventory management in a related industry.
- Organization and time management skills.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES :
Identifying the organizations purchasing needsResearching selecting and purchasing quality products and materialsBuilding relationships with suppliers and negotiating with them for the best price quantities and delivery timescalesProcessing requisitions and updating management on the status of ordersUpdating inventory and managing stock levelsArranging transport of goods and tracking orders to ensure timely deliveryUnderstanding the target market and analyzing trends in order to make informed buying decisionsCoordinating with inventory team management and stockroomMonitoring the stock quality and escalating any discrepancies to suppliers and managementSupplier relationship managementRequired Experience :
