Material Handler
FLSA Status : Hourly / Non-Exempt

Purpose of Position
Under general supervision, check, store and organize materials from the warehouse.
Duties and Responsibilities
The following duties are typical of those performed by employees in this job title; however, employees may perform other related duties, and not all duties listed are necessarily performed by each employee in the job title :
Move materials and items from receiving or storage areas to shipping or to other designated areasSort and place materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, or product codeRestock material in assigned bin location; or fill requisitions for materials and distribute items to designated delivery trucksStack or assemble materials into bundles and band bundles together; package orders for shipping, pick up or truck deliveryMeasure, cut and package materialComplete Material Movement paperworkOpen boxes, crates, and other containersExamine stock for deterioration and defects, and reports findingsAssist in counting of physical inventoryInspect Raymond fork lift daily for damages and report findingsLoad and operate Raymond fork-lifts; load trucks for next day deliveriesKeep warehouse and work area organized at all timesComply with Company and OSHA policies; participate in safety and accident preventative meetingsWear safety equipment at all times MUST wear hardhat at all times during work hoursPerform facilities maintenance duties as neededOther duties may be assigned to meet business needsQualifications
