About the Urgent Care Program
The Behavioral Health Urgent Care Clinic (BHUCC) is the first program of it's kind in the Kansas City area that provides the community immediate, same-day access to psychiatric medication for mental health and substance use needs. Through a multi-disciplinary approach, the BHUCC team provides care to clients every day of the week, including evenings, weekends and holidays to meet the client's and community's needs.
What You'll Do
Greet members, vendors, couriers, job applicants and other visitors in a consistent, professional and friendly manner adhering to proper security protocol and logging activity.Answer phone calls in a timely and welcoming manner and courteously directs the call to the appropriate personnel or program.Abideby all HIPPA laws and maintains confidentiality for all clients and medical records.Ensure the headquarters lobby is constantly staffed during agreed business hours and maintained in a neat and orderly fashion.Manageschedules accurately for new appointments, check ins, and follow ups.Verifyinsurance, personal information and account balances. Collects fees when required.Ensurethat new charts are ready for use and packets are prepared for programs.Accurately enterinformation into the EMR (i.e. : financial information, assessment forms, billing, etc.).Requirements of the Position :
Availability to work a full-time schedule (40-hours a week), Wednesday - Friday 8 : 30am to 9 : 00pm & every other Saturday 8 : 30am to 5 : 00pm.High school diploma or GEDOne to Two years of progressively responsible experience.Previous experience handling large volume of incoming calls as a receptionist preferred.Must possess strong customer service skills.Ability to handle multiple tasks / priorities.Strongwritten, oral and interpersonal communication skills.Intermediate computer skills in typing / keyboarding, Microsoft Word and Excel programs as well as GSuite.Grow With Us
