Reading Tutor
As a Reading Tutor at Braintrust Tutors, you'll work with upper elementary and middle school students in a school setting to strengthen their reading comprehension, fluency, and critical thinking skills. Using our structured intervention programs and materials, you'll deliver consistent, high-impact tutoring that meets each student where they are.

Tutoring Details :
- Start Date - Mid-October
- 12-week tutoring assignment
- Mon / Tues / Thur from ~8a-12pm
- 3rd-5th grade
- 45-minute sessions
- Pay Per Day - $180 (4 sessions) or $225 (5 sessions)
What You Will Do :
Provide small-group in-person tutoring in reading for students in grades 3rd-5thImplement Braintrust's intervention programs as designed, using all materials with fidelityMonitor student progress and adjust instruction accordinglyMaintain accurate records of student attendance and academic performanceCollaborate with the Braintrust Operations team and school staff to support student growthFoster a supportive and engaging classroom environment that promotes focus and confidenceFollow school-site procedures and policies while maintaining a professional and dependable presenceUse provided assessments and progress monitoring tools for understanding to guide instructionManage time effectively during sessions to complete all planned instructional activitiesWhat You Will Have :
Bachelor's degree in Education or a related fieldActive or expired teaching licenseExperience with advanced reading instruction that includes morphology-based word study, vocabulary development, reading comprehension, and writing skills covering grammar, syntax, and multi-paragraph composition using a structured scope and sequence.Experience working with upper elementary and middle school-aged students preferredStrong classroom management and communication skillsComfort navigating a school environment and collaborating with teachers and staffPunctuality, professionalism, and reliability for all scheduled sessionsPassion for literacy and closing opportunity gapsNext Steps!
