HVAC Controls Technician

Location : Grand Rapids, MI

Schedule : Full-time, Monday – Friday (40–50 hours per week)

Compensation : $40+ / hour (based on experience and qualifications)

Benefits : Full benefits package + bonus eligibility + company truck (after 3 months)

Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled HVAC Controls Technician with a strong background in controls, electrical, and industrial maintenance. This role is critical to supporting complex HVAC systems and ensuring proper integration with building automation and control systems.

Responsibilities

Install, program, troubleshoot, and maintain HVAC control systems.

Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical issues in industrial HVAC equipment.

Perform preventive maintenance and calibration on controls and sensors.

Collaborate with building automation and electrical teams for system integration.

Provide technical expertise on industrial maintenance projects.

Participate in on-call rotation (1–2 weeks every 7 weeks).

Qualifications

Minimum 5+ years of HVAC controls and electrical experience .

Strong background in industrial HVAC systems and maintenance.

Proficient in troubleshooting control panels, wiring, and automation systems.

Familiar with PLCs, BAS, and related industrial technologies.

Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Compensation & Benefits

Hourly rate : $40+ / hr depending on experience.
