$10,000 for eligible candidates based on relocation distance.$2,000 for evening shift positions at Aurora St. Luke's Medical Center.Join our outstanding Operating Room team at Aurora St. Luke's Medical Center, the largest hospital in Wisconsin, known for our 24 / 7 on-site heart-care team and innovative patient care.
Schedule / Hours : Full-time, evening shifts (8-10 hours) Monday through Friday, with on-call duties primarily during the night and occasional weekends. Call requirements may vary and include a prompt arrival time within 30 minutes.
Major Responsibilities :
Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly environment conducive to excellent patient care.Utilize sterile surgical techniques for preparing materials, supplies, and equipment.Set up operating rooms, including moving equipment and ensuring efficient environment hygiene.Assist surgeons as a Second Assistant when required.Report any equipment or supply issues promptly.Transport patients and equipment as necessary.Oversee specialty carts and ensure their operational readiness.Position and transport patients, adhering to proper lifting techniques.Demonstrate knowledge of growth and development across patient age groups.Licensure, Registration, and / or Certification :
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 6 months if not previously acquired.Education :
Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program.Experience :
No prior experience necessary.Knowledge, Skills & Abilities :
Familiarity with aseptic techniques and operating room equipment.Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.Basic computer proficiency.Commitment to annual educational requirements for certifications.Physical Requirements :
Ability to work in high-stress, fast-paced environments.Physical capability to lift, carry, push, and pull various weights as required.Exposure to potential hazards, including mechanical and electrical risks.Must have functional sight and hearing.Required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) such as masks and gloves during operations.Frequent mobility necessary throughout the shift.This job description reflects the essential duties and expectations of the role and may include additional responsibilities as required.
