Summary :
Inventory control specialists are responsible for various duties and tasks related to the management of finished goods, ingredients and packaging materials at the plant locations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
Responsible for the daily monitoring of bulk ingredients (flour / sugar) levels as well as managing the silo rotationResponsible for ensuring the rotation of raw materials in inventory to ensure inventory is used on a FIFO basisLead the inventory process of finished goods, ingredients, and packaging material as well as working with the Plant Warehouse Manager in reconciling discrepancies in a timely manner.To assist with the documentation within Abimar’s system for the receiving and transfer of materials.Assist with the preparation of year-end inventoryResponsible for maintaining a clean and safe work area at all timesResponsible for operating forklift and other machinery in a safe & professional mannerOther duties as assigned by the Plant Warehouse Manger.Requirements : Qualifications :
Direct working experience in inventory control, such experience should border around warehousing and wholesale distribution.Familiarity with company ingredients and packaging materials is also an added advantage in most instances, demonstrating better understanding of the company's goals and expectations.Ability to adapt promptly to any change in working conditions and to get problems resolved without delay.Ability to perform excellently even when under pressure, especially in times when inventory deliveries or transfers are forgotten or delayed and issues that arise within SAP.Ability to handle several tasks simultaneously and effectively.Education and / or experience :
A high school diploma is required as experience in an inventory related field, strong organizational skills and computer proficiency are essential, specifically SAP and MS Office software.
