Location : Brooklyn, NY

Compensation : $200k to $270k salary, full benefits, 401k match, project bonuses

Overview :

A leading construction management firm is seeking a Sr Superintendent with a strong background in MEP systems to oversee largescale residential and mixed use projects in the New York City area. This role requires hands on field leadership, deep technical understanding of MEP coordination and installation, and the ability to drive complex projects to successful completion under demanding schedules.

The ideal candidate has extensive experience managing ground up highrise or multiphase construction projects involving substantial mechanical, electrical, and plumbing scopes, as well as utility and commissioning.

Key Responsibilities :

• Lead onsite construction activities with an emphasis on MEP coordination, installation, and quality control.
• Schedule and sequence all MEP subcontractors, ensuring integration with structural and architectural trades.
• Oversee field execution of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems from rough-in through commissioning.
• Review MEP shop drawings, submittals, and RFIs to confirm design intent and identify potential conflicts early.
• Collaborate with engineers, consultants, and project management to resolve field issues in real time.
• Monitor all MEP testing, inspections, and start-up activities to ensure compliance with design specifications and code.
• Manage onsite documentation, daily reports, and progress tracking through project management software.
• Enforce strict adherence to safety procedures, including lockout / tagout, confined space, and hot work protocols.
• Conduct weekly subcontractor coordination meetings focused on MEP system progress and interface points.
• Support project closeout by leading punch lists, systems turnover, and final commissioning documentation.
