Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift LDRP position requiring a CO or compact license and intermediate fetal monitoring certification.
Responsibilities
Work in a 12-bed LDRP unit within an acute care, level III trauma hospitalCares for antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and couplet patients, with patient ratios of 1 : 1 for labor and 1 : 2-3 for coupletsUnit includes 1 dedicated C-section operating roomMust have experience and be comfortable with triage and both circulating and recovering C-sectionsSchedule is comprised of 12-hour night shifts, 7p-7a, with 6-9 weekend shifts per 6-week scheduleNo floating requiredRare call or standby may occur for low censusUses Epic as the EMR systemHospital-provided blue scrubs are required for this positionInitial orientation includes 1-3 shifts with a preceptorMay be asked to participate in holiday rotationAll time off requests must be submitted prior to assignment startUnit may occasionally care for overflow mastectomy patients, with a brief orientation providedTravelers are expected to be flexible and help fill gaps as scheduling needs ariseHospital is within a 60-mile radius rule; applicants must reside beyond this distanceOrientation includes both classroom modules and unit-based preceptorshipReturning candidates may not have been employed by affiliated facilities in the past yearEpic charting training included during orientationFirst time travelers and those with prior travel experience are welcome to applyRequirements
Active CO or compact (NLC) RN license required at the time of considerationMinimum of 2 years RN experience, including at least 1 year of LDRP experience in the past 3 yearsCertifications required : AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring (or Advanced OR C-EFM), BLS (AHA), and NRPMust have triage experience and experience titrating Pitocin and magnesium dripsMust be comfortable caring for antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and coupletsExperience circulating and recovering C-sections requiredMust provide a copy of driver’s licenseMust submit two recent references : one supervisor reference from the last 12 months and either a peer or supervisor reference from within the last 3 yearsBenefits
