Job Overview

The Product Development organization at Rightworks engineer, own, and maintain a portfolio of software products that serve the accounting industry and accounting professionals. In this role, the Lead Software Engineer will be leading a team graduating our Spark AI product out of Rightworks Labs (our innovation team) and into our core product portfolio. You will be working with the latest AI, software engineering, and cloud-based technologies and languages to deliver key outcomes and the next generation of offerings to our accounting and tax customers.

What you'll do :

• Participate in all aspects of the product delivery life cycle
• Partner with product managers / owners to develop requirements and user stories
• Partner with Quality and DevOps teams to ensure the efficient delivery of quality software
• Lead a group of engineers : coordinate work distribution, help establish team standards, review PRs
• Mentor more junior engineers
• Work within cross-functional teams to solve complex problems
• Develop robust, well-documented, high quality enterprise software
• Work closely with architecture group to understand and drive design and standards across teams
• Work with teams in an empowering Agile environment where we encourage creative solutions to customer problems
