• About the Role

Cedarwood Engineering is seeking a

• Senior Civil / Environmental Engineer
• with 6 to 15 years of municipal experience to join our growing team. You will lead water, wastewater, stormwater, and site / civil projects from initial concept through construction, mentor junior staff, and help maintain strong client relationships.
• Although this position can be remote, occasional in-person site visits within New York State will be required.

• What You’ll Do
• Manage the design and delivery of water, wastewater, stormwater, and site / civil engineering projects
• Lead and mentor engineers and technicians, helping guide the next generation of professionals
• Work directly with municipalities, contractors, and regulatory agencies
• Conduct periodic field oversight and project site visits (travel within New York State is required)
• Support business development by maintaining and strengthening client relationships
• What We’re Looking For
• 6 to 15 years of municipal civil / environmental engineering experience
• Active Professional Engineer license preferred although not required
• Strong technical background in water, wastewater, stormwater, and site / civil systems
• Proven leadership and mentoring abilities
• Excellent communication, organization, and remote-work discipline
• Willingness to travel to job sites when needed
