Job Overview
We are seeking a new Quality Control (QC) Engineer to join our team at Ardmore Roderick. As a QC Engineer, you join a team of infrastructure solutions experts working to solve our client's ever evolving project needs. This opportunity will be located in our Memphis International Airport field office.
Key Responsibilities
Execute project-specific Quality Control (QC) Plan with scopes of work and work procedures in coordination with project safety plan and in a manner that engages all project staff, subcontractors, vendors, and consultants and ensures achievement of contract requirementsDevelop comprehensive working knowledge and understanding of contract documentsAssist project team with development of Definable Features of Work (DFOW) logChair or attend pre-installation meeting to communicate scope expectations to trade partnersPerform material delivery inspections in collaboration with Project Superintendent and Trade Foreman to confirm compliance with approved submittalsChair or attend First Work In Place (WIP) Observation with project teamAttend Mock-Up review meetingsPerform daily quality follow-up inspections on-siteArrange for third party testing and inspections; analyze and report resultsPerform QC review of submittals, track issues and concerns, with attention to high-risk activitiesEnsure execution of engineering procedures within budgetary guidelines, including document control, submissions management, creation and tracking of Request for Information (RFIs), material samples, documentation and tracking of potential cost changes and documentation and tracking of approved change ordersEstablish and maintain working relationships with owners, architects, consultants, subcontractors and vendors to ensure project-specific QC Plan delivers a fully compliant projectUnderstand project execution plan and coordinate QC procedures at appropriate stages of work and in line with project scheduleContinually improve strategies and tools to efficiently and effectively document, track and record compliance with contract documentsContinually improve procedures to expand development of QC Plan as project progressesManage procedures for completion of Daily Construction Reports (DCRs) and punch listsDocument all non-compliant materials and / or workmanship and document compliance after completion of corrective work prior to starting any subsequent workResearch and apply additional QC and lean procedures to enhance quality of project deliveryEnsure completion of project closeout and quality reportsRequired Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree from accredited degree program with minimum of 3 years of experience or equivalent combination of education, training and / or experienceConstruction experience that bridges both field and engineering responsibilitiesKnowledge of construction process, means and methods, and materials, their characteristics, installation procedures and tolerancesUnderstand and interpret contract documents, drawings, specifications, scopes of work and project scheduleAdvanced computer skills, proficient in project management software and MS OfficeHave a team player mindset with the ability to communicate proficiently in written and verbal formsHave good to great organizational skillsPreferred Qualifications
Construction Quality Management / Corps of Engineers Certification (USACE)Aviation project experienceBenefits

Salary Range : $80,017-94,993 Ardmore Roderick is providing the compensation range that the company believes it might pay and / or offer for this position, based on the successful applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities in addition to internal equity and specific geographic location.
