Experience with pre / post cardiac catheterization and surgery, including sheath removal. ccessing ports, blood product administration, central line / care management, and PICC line management. Cardiac drip-titrate Diltiazem and Amiodarone. Charge experience preferred. Minimum 2 years of experience required. First-time travelers are accepted. CLS certification is required. NIH certification is preferred. Must pass EKG testing prior to start.
Duties
- Monitor cardiac patients and manage cardiac drips such as Dobutamine, Amiodarone, Cardizem, Milrinone, and Dopamine.
- Perform special procedures including sheath pulls, TR bands, and Femstop.
- Provide care for patients with diagnoses such as Congestive Heart Failure, Arrhythmias, and post-cardiac catheterization.
- Work 12-hour night shifts from 18 : 45 to 07 : 15, with a requirement of 5-6 weekend shifts (every other weekend).
- Float to different units as required and participate in Storm Team or Hurricane Team during emergencies.
- Use unit systems such as Pyxis, EPIC, and SBAR for medication, documentation, and communication.
