What you’ll do as a Director, Employee Relations & Compliance Develop and execute an Employee Relations & Compliance plan aligned to enterprise-wide strategies. Ensure that the confidentiality of all information and transactions regarding the company, its clients and its employees are held to the highest level of business ethics. Oversee the company’s Ethics and Compliance Program including oversight of the Investigation team; conducts complex investigations as needed. Assist HR and leadership in documenting investigations and ensuring outcomes are addressed through meaningful actions. Supports handling of disciplinary actions, including documentation, oral and written warnings, and terminations as needed. Lead, direct, evaluate, and develop staff to ensure team’s activities are conducted accurately, ethically, consistently and according to relevant regulations, laws, and standards. Identify key metrics for the organization’s compliance functions; assess the organization and team’s performance based on these metrics. Regularly meet with senior leaders regarding reported issues, investigation outcomes, and trends within the business. Partner with the Marketing & Communications team to ensure options for accessing HR and reporting concerns are broadly available to our highly distributed workforce. Maintain in-depth knowledge of federal and state employment laws, regulations, and HR trends to help reduce legal risks and ensure regulatory compliance. Maintain, develop, recommend, and implement program objectives, policies, and procedures What you’ll need To be 18 years of age or older Authorization to work in the United States for this company Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources, or related field. 12+ years of progressive experience in human resources including leading investigations, managing compliance. Minimum of five years leading multi-disciplinary teams in Human Resources, Employee Relations, and / or HR Compliance. Thorough understanding of employee relations best practices, as well as applicable policies, and federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations. Working knowledge of multiple disciplines within human resources including talent acquisition, compensation, and talent
management.
