CNC Lathe Machinist

We are looking for a machinist who enjoys a challenge with the opportunity to provide their input on design and work on custom fixtures.. We specialize in custom design of 2nd Op. fixtures and tooling. Each job we do is unique and customized. • Benefits Include :
• Bi-weekly pay, Major medical, vision options, 401(k), accrued personal time off and 6 paid company holidays after 90 day probationary period. Work schedule : Monday - Thursday 6 : 30 am - 5 : 00 pm, Overtime Friday 6 : 30 am - Noon based on workload.
• Responsibilities :
• Set-up, program and operate manual mills / lathes - CNC Mills and VMC with Mastercam knowledge a plus - not required.
• Accurate inspection and verification of machined product versus drawing or print and modify fixtures as necessary.
• Verifies settings by measuring positions, first-run part, and sample work pieces; adhering to customer requirements.
• Work with attention to detail while maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Requirements :
• 2 years degree or equivalent experience as a machinist / .
• Demonstrated success in machining on both CNC mill and lathe. Welding experience is a plus.
• Ability to read and understand CAD and hand drawn part drawings holding tight tolerance.
• Knowledge of the machining properties of various materials including : Aluminum, CRS, HRS, 300 / 400 series stainless steel, 17-4 SS, S7, A2, P20, O1, D2, PEEK, Delrin, HDPE, Rulon, Teflon.
• Should have strong mechanical and technical abilities to complete a job from start to finish on own.
• Must have a personal machinist tool set; intricate tools will be available for use.
• AA from a Technical College in machining is preferred
• Physical Requirements :
• Ability to lift max 75 lbs without assistance
