Overview of the Role :

This Project Estimator II develops, quantifies, and validates capital expenditure (CapEx) models that guide investment decisions for major projects. Youll provide technical guidance, cost estimating expertise, market pricing insights, and staffing considerations to ensure accurate, defensible project budgets. Working cross-functionally with engineering, procurement, and project teams, youll influence design alternatives and help deliver cost-effective, high-quality project outcomes.

Key Responsibilities :

• Prepare detailed capital cost estimates and supporting documentation for project proposals and budgets.
• Review designs, layouts, and specifications for cost effectiveness and recommend alternatives when appropriate.
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, construction, and project management teams to align scope, schedule, and cost assumptions.
• Maintain and update market pricing, productivity rates, and resource loading for accurate estimates.
• Establish, build, and implement metrics for scope and construction estimate checks and continuous improvement.
• Remain current with industry trends, technologies, and material / labor market conditions to ensure estimates reflect the market.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
