Security Officer
The Security Officer will participate in maintaining a safe and secure environment. Primary duties include answering main phone lines and directing calls to appropriate departments, monitoring radio traffic and surveillance equipment, implementing applicable emergency policies and programs, monitoring and regulating inbound and outbound pedestrian and truck traffic, conducting regular inspection rounds in accordance with company policies, handling outbound express mail and distributing internal mail as needed, opening and closing confined space entry permits, maintaining accurate departmental written records and reports, and any other duties as assigned.
Skill requirements include good communication and computer skills to process pick ups and deliveries within the facility, monitor / control access in and out of the facility with a variety of systems, assist with emergencies, conduct rounds, answer phones, and communicate with a variety of departments and personnel on a daily basis, and complete necessary documentation / reporting on a daily basis.
Schedule / Pay : 1 full-time opening on 2nd shift (3 PM - 11 PM). Schedule is for Saturday, Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday. Pay starts at $16 / hour, with shift differential for 2nd shift position.
Education / Experience Requirements : High School Diploma or equivalent; as well as 1 year of security-related experience and / or training. Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug and background screening.
